Gurdwara di Yatra

Overview

The tour package called Nankana Sahib yatra (Divine Purity and Truth – Nām Japō) is specially created. South of Punjab’s Multan would also be included in this yatra package. Tours to the Gurdwaras in Kartarpur, Lahore, Rohtas Fort, Peshawar, Eminabad, Makhdumpur Pakhoran (Khanewal), Sialkot, and of course the Gurdwara of Panja Sahib Ji would also fall under this category. When traveling to Pakistan for a yatra, especially to celebrate Gurpurab in Nankana Sahib Ji, this is one of the greatest excursions available.

About Nankana Sahib Ji: Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born and raised in the city of Nankana Sahib. Today, a sizable Gurdwara Janam Asthaan bearing Guru Nanak’s name stands there. This is the original Sikh temple, where the first Guru began teaching. Formerly a part of Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib became its own district in 2005. Every year in November, Sikh pilgrims from all over the world gather here to participate in the Gurpurab yatra. Tens of thousands of Yatrees attend the Gurpurab celebrations, which completely erase the city. Please come see Nankana Sahib.

Back then, this little area was called Rai-Bhoi-Di-Talwandi. Rai Bhoi was the inspiration behind the name, but Rai Bular Bhatti, his great-grandson, changed it to Nankana Sahib. Upon witnessing several miracles, he came to the conclusion that Nanak was not your typical person and donated half of his possessions to Guru Nanak. In addition to the 750 Murabba lands he gave to the first Guru, he held 1500 Murabba, or 37500 hectares. The Gurdwara continues to own this land. These days, this location is one of the main hubs for the global dissemination of the love and peace message.
